Oscar is an old school friend of John and Olivia's. Sarah's Mother who is a widow and hoping to offer her daughter a better chance has made the decision to send her daughter to a family that promised to pay for her education and give her a better home life in exchange for some light labor. John-Boy helps to break a fever and he delivers her baby in an abandonned cabin.
Sarah Simmonds who we last saw in "The Townie" (s1-ep23) returns married and pregnant. He appears as the host in "A Decade of The Waltons" (s8-ep24). This is his one and only appearance on the show as a performer.
We see him briefly in a flashback through Maggie's eyes.Įarl Hamner Jr. Maggie MacKenzie has a wish to return to the sea to remember her husband on their 55th Wedding anniversary.
